Fence Lake which is one of the ten lakes that make up the 9,000-acre Lac du Flambeau chain of lakes. Fence Lake offers excellent angler action with its 3,500 acres of crystal-clear water, glacier-carved structure, weed beds, drop offs, sand bars and fish shelters.
In addition, the William J. Poupart Fish Hatchery transplants millions of walleye, bass and musky fry and fingerlings into Lac du Flambeau lakes each year, fortifying the future of angling here. Since 1975, Lac du Flambeau lakes have established 3 new world’s line class records for musky recorded with the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, as well.
